Gareth Jones is amongst the most highly respected academics in the world of bat research & we were delighted when he agreed to be interviewed by ourselves. During the session we talk about his earlier years, a number of his key academic achievements, as well as hobbies & other interests. Of particular note his recollection of the story behind the discovery of a new species (Soprano pipistrelle) is fascinating, as are his thoughts on more recent research into mammal ageing through the use of genetic information.
